Allure magazine’s Daily Beauty Reporter recently published a few excellent posts about sunscreen that I decided to share here all at once instead of posting them piecemeal on my Facebook page:
- Why body lotion with spf will never be as good as regular sunscreen
- How to use sunscreen wipes, sprays, and sticks effectively
- What using the correct amount of sunscreen really looks like
- Five dermatologists once and for all tell you why sunscreen is important and not detrimental to your health
Hi Hanah, thank you for this post entailing those articles. What information have you come across regarding more accurate spf applications for face and body? I know it’s generally said 1/2 tsp for face and 1 shot glass for body, but this doesn’t take in account varying shapes and sizes and surface areas! I truly would love to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for your question. It turns out that someone asked The Beauty Brains almost the same question. Here’s the answer: http://thebeautybrains.com/2014/07/23/how-much-sunscreen-should-you-put-on-your-face/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+thebeautybrains%2FbEUs+%28The+Beauty+Brains%29
